MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player in his part of the Latin mainstream. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for Most Popular Song in 2017. He released his debut long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. In the Top Latin Albums chart ranked ADN at the 8th spot. Vaina Loca, it was the Top Five hit of Ozuna's Top Five album in 2007 led him to join Ozuna. Mala Influencia came out as his collaboration with Noriel in 2020. In the following year, Dopamina was his follow-up album. In 2021 he recorded a duet for TINI's hit single Maldita Foto. The singer appeared with him in 2023 for 2000, which included the hit single La Bachata. Turizo was brought up within a musical family, since both his mom and older brother are professional musicians. According to him, music was a fundamental part of his life. When he was a kid was playing the ukulele as well as piano. Although his first choice of career was to become a veterinarian his brother Julian advised him to go for singing classes with a Cuban teacher. The end result personally discovering his talent as a performer changed the course of his life.
