Pleshette was a graduate of The Neighborhood Playhouse School of Theater and studied under Sanford Meisner. Pleshette began her career acting on stage with more than 100 credits. One of her best known roles came starring as Emily Hartley in the TV series The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978. In 1989 Pleshette starred as Christine Broderick in the series Nightingales. The actress starred as Jackie Hansen in the television show The Boys Are Back from 1994 through 1995. Pleshette played recurring roles on the TV series Suzanne Pleshette Is Maggie Briggs, Good Morning, Miami, 8 Simple Rules, as well as Will & Grace. She was in The Geisha Boy and The Birds. She voiced on The Lion King II Simba's Pride earned her the Annie Award nomination. Pleshette has been nominated for Five Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards. She also was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. Suzanne Pleshette passed away on January 19th, 2008, at 70 years old.
